Bringing us their celebrated take on the classic late 1950s Levi’s 501 cut, BONCOURA’s XX denim utilises materials of uncompromising quality and techniques both new and old to deliver an elevated iteration of this iconic staple of menswear.
Constructed with BONCOURA's specially developed signature 15oz light pink selvage ID "Ike-Momen" denim, this slowly woven fabric strikes the perfect balance of a smooth yet subtly irregular texture, replicating the authentic vintage vibe of the antique loom machines it is crafted on. The denim is thread dyed with pure indigo — over time with wear and washing, this denim will age to resemble the vintage 501s that inspired these jeans.
Recalling 501 cuts of the late ‘50s, known as the Classic XX type of vintage Levi’s denim, this BONCOURA XX denim comes with a high rise, a roomy thigh and a slightly tapered leg opening. Given the rigorous standards of BONCOURA, these jeans boast details utterly uncompromising in quality. The patch is made from thick, high-grade deerskin typically reserved for shirts, while the inner pocket bags are constructed with shirting-grade herringbone twill specially developed by BONCOURA.
