Freewheelers bring back a rare classic from the vintage denim archives!

This season, Freewheelers have brought us a rare denim style, based on a wartime model originally produced by Levi's in the second half of 1945. Compared with the vintage model, this pair of denim features an increased weight and stronger vertical texture!

This 14oz red selvedge I.D. denim is specially developed for this 1945 series denim, which comes with mild-slub and irregular vertical texture. It has been slowly woven with vintage denim machines, resulting in a tasteful 'War Time' denim that has been yarn-dyed with grand indigo. With wear and wash, you can expect to see some strong vertical aging with some beautiful high-contrast indigo hues coming through!

This model features a ton of vintage-spec details, including the signature 'V. West's red tab on the back pocket, as well as a crotch rivet on the fly for extra durability. During WWII, the US government imposed restrictions on the use of materials by manufacturers, including limiting iron and the use of waste fabrics. Freewheelers has replicated these details by including 4 doughnut buttons on the fly as well as lightweight denim fabric for the pocket bags, making up for an authentic wartime vibe! With time, the buttons and rivets will age and oxidise, making up for a classic vintage look!

If you are looking for a rare 1945-style denim, made to the highest standards of Japanese denim construction, you won't want to miss out on Freewheelers!
