FILE 042:First Arrow's "Feather & Arrow" Set -- A Decade of Wear

This Personal Silver Feather Chain is patiently collected by our Melbourne Manager-- Ray, as he shares:

Talking about some of the most iconic pieces from First Arrow’s, of course, the Feather and Arrow pendants have to be at the top of the list. I started collecting First Arrow’s silverware back in 2011, and this is the second chain set I began collecting in 2016. It has now been with me for almost a decade.

After all these years, I’ve realised that I actually love the aged look much more than when it was brand new. The scratches, oxidation, and patina that have built up over the years give the silver a character that simply can’t be replicated on a new piece."

" First Arrow’s 950 silver is specially developed by the brand itself, using a unique blend of materials that gives the silver its distinctive character. With time and wear, it develops a beautiful copper-toned hue, making every piece look more unique as it ages.

The feather patterns are hand-engraved by First Arrow’s skilled craftsmen at their workshop in Tokyo. The level of detail is truly something else. And honestly, it’s only after years of ageing that you can fully appreciate just how intricate those hand-engraved feather patterns really are. The changing tones and patina make every detail stand out even more."

" First Arrow’s 18K Gold pieces are truly something special. When brand new, the gold has a soft, light-yellow tone. But with time and wear, it gradually develops into a deeper, warmer orange tone, creating a beautiful contrast against the aged silver.

The way the two metals change and complement each other over time reminds me of the Yin-Yang balance itself — two contrasting elements, yet perfectly harmonious together."

"The Arrow is the symbol of First Arrow’s, and that’s exactly why I chose this large Arrow pendant. To me, it’s more than just a piece of jewellery. It serves as a reminder to myself — I am a man with a mission to complete."

" To create a more modern, vintage Native American vibe, I also added an Old Goro’s Small Blessing Leaf Pendant to this chain — a piece I purchased around 20 years ago, long before Goro’s became widely popular in the West. I think the combination turned out pretty unique, blending the aged character of First Arrow’s silverware with the old-school feel of Old Goro’s".

"This is a truly meaningful chain set to me. Even today, I still wear it during the summertime, especially on special occasions. When I look back at how I started collecting each pendant, one piece at a time, and eventually brought them together into a complete chain, I realise that this is more than just a piece of jewellery.

This chain is a reflection of my journey, my memories, and ultimately -- ME."
