This Freewheelers Indigo Dyed A-3 Denim Cap was worn by our Melbourne Store Manager -- Ray, as he shares:

"The Freewheelers A-3 Cap has always been my favourite design. To make it my own version — the FLYEST A-3 Cap — I added a First Arrow's Large Silver Pin with 18K Gold "Sunburst" Emblem. I've been wearing this cap for over 8 years now, and to be honest, it's still in my top 3 favourite caps to this day.“

" This A-3 cap is made from FW’s specially developed 10oz Weapon Denim, featuring a warp thread-dyed in Grand Indigo and a weft sulphur-dyed in Military Grey. I've been wearing it 1–2 days a week for over 8 years, giving it a wash every 3 months. With consistent wear over time, it has developed a beautifully high-contrast fade that carries a strong military vibe."

"Personally, I'm a big fan of First Arrow's. Over more than a decade of collecting, I've picked up many of their pendants and bangles. This large pin was purchased specifically for this denim cap — and only for this cap. After 8 years of wear, the silver has aged beautifully, developing a soulful patina. I love how First Arrow’s specially developed 950 silver darkens over time, creating a striking contrast with the 18K gold emblem, which stays bright and shiny. It gives off a perfect Yin-Yang balance — and that vibe never gets old."

"After 8 years of wear, the binding construction of the panels and the inner tags still remains strong. Due to years of sweat, the original off-white colour has gradually shifted to a slightly beige tone. Maybe this cap is becoming my own piece of vintage — slowly being created through time and wear."

"I was thinking about retiring this A-3 denim cap after 8 years of wear. But over time, it’s become one of my closest companions — and it's not easy to say goodbye to an old friend. I still wear it occasionally, especially when pairing it with some of my favorite military-style outfits. Sometimes, the moment I put it on, old memories just come flooding back — effortlessly, like they’ve been waiting for the right moment, just there, All-The-Time..."
