This Studio D'Artisan 12oz "Tsuri-Ami" Loopwheeled Sweatshirt (Heather Grey) was worn by CORLECTION's Lee, who shares:

"I'm a big fan of Japanese loopwheeled products. I bought this 'Tsuri-Ami' loopwheeled sweatshirt back in 2016 and was immediately impressed by its texture and quality. After six years of continuous wear, it still keeps me cozy on chilly days and has aged beautifully, gaining a soulful character of its own.“

"If I remember correctly, before wearing it, I gave the sweatshirt a gentle machine wash in warm water at around 50°C. The loopwheeled fabric shrank slightly and settled into a weight of approximately 14–15oz. The ribbing on the neck, cuffs, and hem is finished using a vintage jacquard knitting machine, giving it a distinctive texture and better shape retention compared to modern mass-produced alternatives. I first wore it during the Sydney winter in June, and it kept me perfectly warm.

For the first two years, I only wore it during the colder months — about 5 to 6 months a year, and typically 2 days per week — because it was incredibly warm, almost like a heavyweight wool sweater."

"After the first two years of wear, the fabric’s weight gradually softened back to around 12oz, and I began wearing it more frequently — about 8 to 9 months a year, typically twice a week. I started to notice the thread-dyed heather grey colour fading slowly into a more vintage, worn-in look. I loved this warm-toned transformation — it quietly echoed memories of the 'Good Old Times'.”

"As time went on and I entered the fifth and sixth years of wearing it, the sweatshirt continued to evolve. The ribbed collar had worn down significantly, yet still held its structure — like an old-school tough guy, stubbornly standing his ground. It actually reminded me of No Country for Old Men, haha. The brushed interior had lost its original cashmere-like brushed hairy look, and the fabric weight had dropped to around 8–9oz, making it comfortable to wear in any season.

Thinking about it more deeply, I realised — maybe it’s just like LIFE itself. Sometimes we try too hard to appear SHARP in the short term. But perhaps what truly matters is how long we can stand STRONG — with Honour and Elegance — through the wear and tear of time..."
