This Pure Blue Japan 6oz Indigo Dyed “Signature” Tee (Grand Indigo) is worn by our Melbourne friend -- Charlie. As he puts it:
“This is my very FIRST grand indigo thread-dyed t-shirt from PBJ, a decade ago (around 2014). I was pretty shocked when I acknowledged that it was an upcoming idea called ‘Indigo Dyed T-shirt’ from PBJ. I was excited about it and told myself, I need to make this Indigo Journey begin!”
As Charlie told us,"I started to wear this PBJ Indigo-Dyed T-shirt in the Australian Summer of 2014. The first impression was that the grand indigo was super dark, almost a Sumi-Black tone. If you see through the cotton thread, the shade was uneven (nothing like Indigo Over-dyed garments). Put it on my body, wow~ It was more breathable than I expected...I have to say, ‘It Is A Minty Feeling’!”
“ So I started to wear it twice a week for the very first year, it fades like PBJ’s signature denim in a way. Even though I washed it after every wear, I can still see the different shades of indigo coming up with time...’PURE MAGIC!’ I have to say.”
“After the first year, I slowed down the process and wear it once a week. One time, I was helping my friend fix his motorbike, and the machinery oil just splashed on my PBJ’s indigo dyed t-shirt. “I did sweat a lot on the back, so the back side has a Mystery Fog ageing look, sometimes my friend asked me what that was? I replied, ‘Came from Salt Lake.’ Lol~”
“Even after I washed it after every wear, the cotton threads still have many different shades of indigo revealing with time,if my memory was correct, before Pure Blue Japan, I only saw Indigo Over-dyed T-shirt in the market, but I never experienced any real Indigo Thread-Dyed t-shirt before PBJ. I can safely call this tee as my “FAVOURITE INDIGO DYED TEE”, even after I own many others, I still believe PBJ created The Best indigo thread dyed tee in this current market.”
