Warehouse 11oz "Greenebaum" Leather Bound Indigo Dyed Denim Blouse
The OG denim American denim!
For the latest line of Greenebaum line, Warehouse has taken inspiration from some of the earliest denim designs from the latter half of the 19th Century. In 1873, Levi's patented the use of metal rivets to increase the durability of their workwear garments. A year later, the Greenebaum Brothers obtained a patent for using leather to reinforce their clothing. Warehouse has utilized this long-forgotten construction method, to recreate these amazing designs for you to enjoy. This striking jacket design is inspired by a Greenebaum denim blouse design from 1880, which Warehouse has recreated faithfully!
This jacket is constructed with 100% cotton, 11oz white selvage ID selvage denim specially developed by Warehouse for their Greenebaum collection. Slowly woven on vintage machines, this denim has a neppy surface with a subtly irregular texture. The yarns have been grand indigo thread-dyed, similar to classic USN denim, and will age to a high-contrasted look with long-term wear and washing!
This jacket features a single-needle construction for that authentic vintage vibe! The central waist pockets and sleeve openings are reinforced with natural vegetable-tanned cowhide leather. With time, this leather will age to a beautiful mahogany brown colour! The black enamel-coated metal buttons have been specially developed for the Greenebaume line and will age to a vintage look with wear. The back features a cinch-back design to ensure you get the perfect fit!
If you want an amazing denim jacket, inspired by some of the earliest and most classic denim designs, Warehouse is a fantastic choice!
