Sugar & Co. 12oz Selvage Denim “Gentle Pants”

This pair of Gentle Pants takes inspiration from the late 1960s ivy chino-trousers design. Sugar & Co. has refined the original design, creating a version with richer texture and character for modern-day enjoyment.
Constructed with Sugar & Co.’s specially developed 12oz red selvage ID denim, this fabric is woven from ultra-long-staple Supima cotton with fibre lengths exceeding 38mm and slowly crafted on vintage shuttle looms. The result is a denim with an exceptionally smooth hand feel, complemented by subtle uneven textures. The warp yarns are rope-dyed in a rich Grand Indigo, allowing the denim to develop beautiful high-contrast fades over time, revealing a wide spectrum of indigo shades through wear and washing.
Design-wise, we love hidden pleats on the rise and the elasticated waist, which are inspired by tailored chino trousers from the past.
