“Dark Knight!”
"Tokuno Black" in Japanese means "Ultra-Dark Black". To create this 14.7oz peach colour selvage denim, Momotaro chose the standard long-fibre Zimbabwe cotton for the warp (exterior) and extra-long-fibre hand-picked Zimbabwe cotton for the weft (interior), then slowly and tightly woven from the vintage denim machine. This results in the denim having a smooth touch and some uneven textures underneath, and the interior is silky-smooth after a soak or wash before wear, which you will love to wear daily! To achieve this ‘Ultimate Black’ tone, both weft and warp are sulphur thread-dyed, and with wear and wash, it will age nicely to a ‘Black & White’ high-contrast look!
Construction-wise, we also really appreciate the binding construction for the waist, which we usually see this detail only in high-end tailored pants nowadays! Natural indigo hand-dyed full-grain cowhide leather patch will shine out through time!
