Freewheelers "Skagit" Corduroy Trousers
Freewheelers are back again with another timeless design inspired by semi-formal trousers from the 1910s-20s. The name "Skagit" is inspired by the river of the same name that runs from British Columbia in Canada to Washington in the United States, renowned as an excellent fishing spot. This season Freewheelers have produced these trousers in a luxury heavyweight corduroy fabric for you to enjoy!
These trousers are constructed with a specially developed, wide-wale black corduroy. This 100% cotton fabric has been slowly woven using vintage machines to produce a slightly irregular texture with a hefty yet super comfortable hand feel! The colour is yarn-dyed, and with wear and wash, it will age to a more soulful look like some sepia-toned photographs from the past!
Construction-wise, these trousers feature a slanted back pocket design with a tasteful V-stitching design. These trousers featured a tapered tailored fit, which strikes the perfect balance between comfort and style!
As with all Freewheelers products, the devil is truly in the details! For added comfort and durability the waistband lining is constructed with a charming houndstooth fabric, made from a 53% wool / 47% cotton blend!
The pocket bags and cinch back are lined with a tightly woven cotton twill fabric which showcases Freewheelers' expertise in tailored construction! These trousers are finished with extra large polished nut buttons on the fly which add some elegant tonal contrast!
