Freewheelers "Jackson" Corduroy Sack Coat
Old-world charm with premium Japanese fabrics and construction!
Freewheelers are back again with another timeless design inspired by sack coats from the 1910s-20s. With their expertise in pattern-making, this season Freewheelers have produced this jacket in a luxury heavyweight corduroy fabric for you to enjoy!
The body of this jacket is constructed with a specially developed, wide-wale,medium-weight corduroy. This 100% cotton fabric has been slowly woven using vintage machines to produce a slightly irregular texture with a hefty yet super comfortable hand feel! The black colour is yarn-dyed, and with wear and wash, it will age to a more soulful look like some sepia-toned photographs from the past!
Construction-wise, this jacket features a unique pocket design inspired by vintage sack coat styles. With a slanted chest pocket, twin waist pockets and an internal pocket, this jacket has plenty of space for your daily storage needs! This jacket has a tailored fit that flares elegantly to the hem, making it perfect for layering with a waistcoat, sweatshirt or button-up shirt!
As with all Freewheelers products, the devil is truly in the details! Flipping the collar you can see it has been lined with a charming black and white lightweight houndstooth fabric, made from a 53% wool / 47% cotton blend. For added insulation and comfort, this same fabric is used on the sleeve lining in a contrasting colourway. The body of the jacket is lined with a tightly woven lightweight cotton twill, which showcases Freewheelers' expertise in tailored construction! The jacket is finished with extra large black nut buttons which add some elegant to tonal contrast to the all-black look!
If you are looking for a corduroy jacket inspired by old-world sack coat styles, Freewheelers is a fantastic choice!
