The OG 1960s Type 3 denim jacket!
This model is inspired by the iconic Levi's 'BIG E' Type 3 denim jacket from the 1960s. Denime has recreated it with meticulous detail, even better than the original! This model comes in a unique black warp colourway and features a slim fit for a sharp silhouette.
Crafted from 14.5oz XX denim developed by Kurabo Mill over 30 years ago, the very same denim that defined OG Denime — this denim is scheduled to be discontinued in 2026, making each piece a true collector’s item. Woven slowly on vintage Toyoda GL3 shuttle looms, the fabric blends short-fiber white U.S. cotton with long-fiber tea cotton, resulting in a subtly brownish cast, smooth hand feel, and delicate vertical texture. The sumi-black tone colour is sulphur thread-dyed. With wear and wash, these denim will develop a soulful sumi-black fade, revealing a warm-toned vintage patina that’s as distinctive as it is timeless.
Speaking of details, this type 3 features a slightly longer vertical length, copper buttons, classic type 3 chest pockets with "V" construction, paper patch, and chain stitch run-offs to reproduce the 1960s model faithfully! The jacket is finished with Denime's signature logo red pocket tab for that classic look!
