Freewheelers Deck Worker Parka (Navy)

Size Guide

As one of the most practical gears popularised by the US NAVY (USN), this one was for the harsh weather and used for its serious durability.

When it comes to jungle clothing, FW's are the most serious! It's slowly woven on vintage machines with a high density which makes it windproof and resistant to tearing under strain. The surface has a waxed appearance which is weather-resistant but still breathable compared to technical modern fabrics. With time you'll see some amazingly soulful, vintage fading characteristics as soft contrast appears. For added comfort and durability, the hood and pockets have been lined with brushed lightweight cotton flannel. You can feel the smooth texture of the flannel against your skin with each use.

Just like FW's famous N-1 Deck jacket, this one features serious single needle construction using heavy threads. Similar to the grades used on leather jackets, the seams are densely stitched and executed perfectly. The sleeves and hood feature adjuster straps to ensure you always have the desired fit. The three-dimensional hood design provides a perfect fit for comfort when in use and thanks to the adjuster you can scale how much protection you need.

If you love the famous USN deck jacket designs, this one could be one of the best for daily wear!

How We Measure

Pants and Shorts

Waist:

With the major buttoned up (i.e. the top button) open the jeans and lay them flat, like shown. Measure from the front where the major button closes to the back belt loop. Double this measurement to find the waist measurement.

The way we measure the waist is different from the 'Side to Side' technique. If you are used to the 'side to side' technique you can roughly roughly downsize by 1 inch.

For example, 'side to side' measurement for The Flat Head 3002 waist is 28inch and using our method measures at 29.25inch.

Front Rise:

With the jeans lying flat measure from the crotch bar tack to the top of the waistband.

Back Rise:

Spread out the crotch so the bar tack is visible, then measure from the crotch to the top of the waistband.

Thigh:

One inch down from the crotch, measure flat across to the other side.

Inseam:

Leg Openning:

Measure straight across the hem from side to side.
